Students and instructors introduce themselves. Workshop
objectives are articulated and clarified. Participant objectives and needs
are elicited. Norms for conflict resolution intervention in an international
setting are identified. ICRP projects are described by ICRP Project Directors.
Students meet with Project Directors to begin process of linking with project
that interests them.

UNIT 2 INTRODUCTION TO INTERVENTION METHODOLOGIES January 29, 2002

This class will look at the basic conditions for successful conflict resolution
fieldwork. The class will focuses on an exploration of various “intervention”
modes, and the challenges, needs and benefits of working in a particular model
of intervention,

This session focuses on issues related to creating effective partnerships,
both within ICRP and with local project partners. Students will look at fundamental
team building issues, including interpersonal and intergroup communication skills
and communication systems.

also examine various evaluation mechanisms, including the use of quantitative
and qualitative models. Basic financial budget issues will be discussed.Objectives

This session focuses on understanding the complete financial process including

the Introduction and Conception phases of the course, and prepare for the Project
Design Phase.
