Requirements
For full credit, students will actively participate in class discussions and prepare a brief presentation on one of the class discussion topics. An academic term paper addressing one of the central problems discussed in class is due by the final class. Students will seek approval for the specific theme of their paper from the instructors. A working title, outline and bibliography should be presented by spring break. The papers should have a length of 4000 – 6000 words, including references and endnotes.
The final grade for the class will take three elements into consideration: class participation (15%), class presentation (25%), final paper (60%).
