Spanish 1101 is the first part of Columbia University's introductory Spanish language sequence. The main objectives of this course are to develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension skills in Spanish and to familiarize students with Hispanic cultures. Students' active participation in the various classroom activities is essential.
