The major changes include: - Improved performance on Apple II's with interrupt-driven communications (most systems //e+ or later). - A new "set timing" command, to allow adjustment to internal clocks of different speeds. - A new "type" command for displaying local files without leaving Kermit. - The "help" command now displays an external help file that you can change without rebuilding the program itself. - An escaping mechanism for sending special characters to the modem. - A revised manual. The new files are in app*.* in the various Kermit Distribution areas, and can be ordered on Kermit Tape A. The major changes include: 1. ProDos QUIT is fixed 2. VT-100 emulation bug fixes 3. The program now works on the Apple//c+ now works 4. Blinking cursor when connected 5. Connect escape menu now has MODEM and QUIT added 6. Better handling of illegal characters in received filenames 7. Wildcard file transfer SEND no longer misses files 8. New installation procedure 9. New Apple Cat serial card driver 10. New file management commands LOCK, UNLOCK, and RENAME added 11. GET & SEND commands now allow two filespecs so one can change the name 12. Here is his description of the new release: 1. Decimal numbers allowed in lots of places. 2. Screen restore on "connect" for //e or better. 3. Kermit file attributes are handled. 4. Percent of file transferred where possible (file attributes required). 5. Lots of bug fixes (will we ever get the vt100 right :-) 6. Kermit protocol bug fixes. 7. Escape character "\" can be used in file names for file xfers. 8. Show volumes - (ProDos only) shows the prefixes of the online volumes. 9. Escape V - When connected will toggle cursor-keys-vt100. 10. Some vt102 printer codes are handled - don't expect much. 11. New driver for the Ace dual card. Thanks to Andy Tefft.
