I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from Department of Statistics, the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2004 (full CV). My prior trainings were in pure mathematics (B.S. in Mathematics from School of Mathematics, Shandong University in 1992, M.S. in Mathematics from Academy of Mathematics and System Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1995, and Ph.D. dissertator in Mathematics at Stony Brook Mathematics Department and Institute for Mathematical Sciences 1997-1999). My research interests include adaptive methods in clinical trials, early phase dose finding, dynamic treatment methods, pharmaceutical statistics, longitudinal and clustered data modeling, mixed-effects models, clustering analysis, manifold learning, and applied probability (Google Scholar, ResearchGate). I collaborate primarily with dentists, neurologists, and cardiologists. I am an Associate Editor of Journal of Clinical Periodontology, and am also on the Editorial Board of the International Dental Journal as a Statistical Consultant. I am an elected Fellow of The Glenda Garvey Teaching Academy for my excellent performances in teaching. I am also a member of the Research on Adaptive Designs for Mobile App Platform (ROADMAP) Group.
