My research focuses on the interplay of affective and deliberative processes and the role of cognitive control and episodic memory in decision making, specifically in the areas of risky decision making, intertemporal choice, and social decision making. In my work, I study the neural underpinnings, as well as the development, of judgment and decision making processes across the lifespan. In particular, I focus on the behavioral, psychological, and neural changes that occur during the transitions from childhood to adolescence and from adolescence to adulthood, as well as changes that occur across adulthood. In my research, I use behavioral and physiological measures as well as brain imaging, brain stimulation, and genotyping.
