IF YOU CHOSE TO WRITE A PAPER IN LIEU OF THE MID-TERM:

The exam will have three sets of two essay questions. You must choose one from each set. The first set will deal with the period from 1914-1945, the second from 1938/9-1989 and the third will deal with the entire course. They will be weighted equally (so one-third of the grade on the final will come from each question).
