About Me
Welcome to my webpage! My name is Breana Tate, and I am a current junior at Columbia University in the City of New York, orginally from Northern Virginia. I am pursuing a major in Information Science and Public Policy, an interdisciplinary major that allows me to learn about data collection, analysis, and programming, while also taking classes in a field that I've been interested in for years. I love to work through problems and solve solutions, and while my interests are varied, I feel that they all share that common goal.

Past Summers
Freshman Year
The summer after my freshman year, I interned at Carney Labs in Alexandria, Virginia, where I was a Software Engineering Intern programming in Python and Django. I was fortunate to get to work on the product MARi, an ed-tech platform dedicated to helping students learn relevant skills and achieve their career goals.
Sophomore Year
This past summer, I interned at Facebook's New York office on the Media Partnerships team. More specifically, I was an intern on the Sports vertical, which deals with issues relating to athletes, sports teams, and sports media organizations and individuals on Facebook. My project focused on analyzing the current sports media landscape on Facebook using SQL in order to use the data for a variety of purposes.
