On-going Research Projects

  • Development, validation and qualification of novel quantitative imaging biomarkers for better therapy response assessment and outcome prediction in oncology. These include, but are not limited to,

    • exploration of variability in tumor measurement due to imaging acquisition techniques, measurement methods and reader skills

    • validation of volumetric CT and density-based response assessment techniques

    • investigation of image features to correlate with genetic mutation status

  • Development / Enhancement and validation of our advanced 3D segmentation algorithms for solid tumors in the lungs, liver, lymph nodes, brain, breast, kidney, etc. on CT / MRI / PET-CT.

  • Development / Enhancement and validation of our advanced 3D segmentation algorithms for multiple organs, e.g., liver, spleen, kidney, prostate, on CT and MRI

  • Development and validation of novel image features extracted from multi-phase CT and MRI to correlate clinical outcomes of HCC after liver transplantation

  • Development of computer-aided early detection and non-invasive follow-up methods to improve diagnosis and management of diseases such as lung cancer and emphysema

  • Development of a quality assurance program to improve the efficiency and accuracy of image data transfer and analysis for clinical trials incorporating imaging studies

  • Development of a user-friendly, workflow-efficient and extensible imaging platform to accelerate the optimization and translation of quantitative imaging analysis algorithms into clinical trials and clinical practice
