With our sides solved from the previous layer, we will complete the rest of the first layer with the corners.
This move will take a piece from the bottom layer, with the white face facing out towards you.
If you can't find a white piece on the bottom layer facing out, however, you can use this same move to "knock" another piece out of position from the top layer, or bring to a new position from an incorrectly rotated bottom layer.
Before going into the move, we will need to make sure that the target piece we are trying to solve is on the bottom layer facing out towards us.
With the 1st layer facing up, and the target piece on the bottom layer facing out towards you:
