The Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University in the City of New York invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. Primary attention will be given to appointments at the assistant professor level, however senior appointments may be possible in exceptional cases. Searches are being conducted in the fields of analog/digital IC design and of signal processing and information theory. Additional areas of interest include systems biology and other research at the interface of electrical engineering and the life sciences, and the development and application of nanoscale materials and devices.  Candidates are expected to establish a strong research program and excel in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. The Department is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
