Grandfather and Dennis in 1956, at the site of the National Cathedral in Washington DC, which was still under construction. This picture suprised me when I found it, I don't remember anything like this; I only remember him showing up at our house and then leaving after about one hour. I think what must have actually happened was that I was in school when he arrived, so my dad took him and Dennis around in the car (the one in the photo, our 1950 Ford newly painted a light color), and when I saw them arrive it was from this excursion. There is no picture of me with my grandfather.
