Verboten (1959), a film by writer-director
Sam Fuller (a
decorated WWII veteran) about GIs and Germans in World War II and the early
postwar featuring a food riot very similar to the one in Stuttgart in 1946
that earned
Pam's dad
some passing fame and a sinister plot by Nazis to stage a
comeback (a common theme in early postwar movies, including
Berlin
Express from 1948).
