1924: The newly constructed St. Brendan's Parochial School in the Bronx on East
207th Street near Perry Avenue, when 207th Street was still a dirt
road. The present convent and church were yet to be built, and as can be
seen the school had two stories. Image found on Pinterest. The school was
founded in 1911 and conducted in the basement of a church until this
building was erected in 1923. A third story was added in 1940 and two extra
classrooms were added in 1967. In 2012 the school celebrated 100 years of
