1. Is this study being funded by any foundation, government agency, etc? No, this study does not receive funding from any outside source. It is part of a doctoral dissertation training requirement at Columbia University. 2. Is this study being sponsored by the NDMS and why? No, the NDMS does not officially sponsor this project, it is being conducted with their knowledge. NDMS cannot sponsor this project since this involves complex legal issues. 3. Should I participate even though I feel the study does not apply to me? Yes, it is extremely important to understand everyone’s mental status. 4. Are there benefits to my participating in this study? There are no direct benefits to you for participating in the study, other than the satisfaction that you are contributing to a greater effort. 5. Are there incentives? No, there are no incentives for participation. The acceptance of an incentive by federal employees would pose an ethical conflict based on the information provided by the HHS/OGC as stated in 5 CFR Sect 2635.203. |
