Nyex 8.0 -- November 15, 1996, PWAC Warehouse, Long Island This party was far from raging. Sadly, when parties have lineups unannounced to the start of the party that MEANS the promoter (and you) won't know anyone spinning. Sadly in this case it also meant, the music was shite. What a disappointment :( Glad so many of you were unable to come out -- it wouldn't have been worth your time or energy. Actually the music started raging, just as we left -- but let me tell you -- we had had quite enough. If anything what made the night was other people and the fairly nice net-raver turnout. *sigh* well there goes a weekend. The music was all over the place, with some bad old skool (not that old skool was bad, but this djs selections were bad), some cheesey trance (again, trance is amazing, but not the tracks another dj pulled) and some vocally hard house. Or something like that. There was a live PA, but it wasn't Frankie Bones. Heavens, this party was almost reminders of bad high school dances, with bad music and lineups of people on the sides. It was too embarrasing. I don't even know if I'll send this review to ne-raves or nyc-raves. *ack* Take care, and feel cozy you didn't leave home. I just wish there had been something else to have gone to last night after we found out how embarrisingly bad it was. Oh well. .\.\ichael -- sentinel (PS: Did have a good conversation with dsp and ezd on vrave after I got home tho -- thanks guys :) ) (PPS: Glad its hard to complain since it was only $5, but STILLLLLL)
