Ultraviolet, Limelight. May 26, 1996. NYC Arrived about 1am, got in without much hassle, but had to pay - did not completely expect that. Will email someone privately about that! :) Every possible nook and crany was hosting a different kind of music. This made the Lime seem crowded and smaller. Hit all of the spots to check them out, but basically stayed in the main room the whole night. The spotlight for course was on the visiting Wicked Crew DJs, although there wasn't a DJ listing posted anywhere that I could find. The music was fun, although not my favorite. The night was made much better when MikeGee noticed me sitting down and brought me over to the Columbia Crew hanging out - thanks so much Mike! :) I was much happier dancing with the bunch of you (Shout-outs to Alison, Punkaj, Mitch, and one other person I hadn't met before. Were these others friends of yours Mike?) The crowd was B&T to begin with with an overwelming majority of guys. The whole club atmosphere is annoying - people were dancing, but not really and the focus was definitly NOT on the music - people seemed to care less, and did not have a clue why there was a "Wicked" sign above the dance floor under the DJ. As the night went on the crowd turned towards the more club or rave type crowd. Oh, the funniest thing was seeing a visiting sailor (this was fleet week) from the Navy getting down and dirty so far as to take his uniform shirt off down to his undershirt and tieing his necktie inot a cirlce around his neck. heh Sirry I left so early, but was fairly tired from dancing much of the day earlier at the Ska show at Wetlands - in fact I had a much better time there than at Lime. Much much MUCH more enthusiasm and vibe. Glad I went. :) Glad to hear everyone had fun at Superstar!! :) love, /\/\ichael -- sentinel
