Tonase - wife to Honz? and mother to Konami
Konami - daughter of Tonase and betrothed to Rikiya
Summary:
The effects of Enya's crime have spread to all those with associations to
the ?boshi family: Rikiya, though promised to marry Konami and joined to her
by bonds of love, has refused to accept any of the engagement presents. Deeply
concerned, mother and daughter decide to make the long and arduous trip from
Kamakura to Yamashina. Along the journey, during which they pass countless
sites made famous by their appearances in poetry, Tonase speaks to her daughter
of the joys of marriage and attempts to comfort her uneasy heart.
