Given an addictive personality and a game of Dungeons and Dragons, a fifth grader can learn college level probability theory and a good set of SAT words before his 13th birthday.
We aim to please. Ourselves, mostly, but we do aim to please.

Wow, you just nailed the exact path of my mental development. Serious.
I don't think the addictive personality is even required. Friends, curiosity or lack of viable social alternatives will all suffice.
More importantly, I think it's along the lines of "how many have" instead of "can".
