Apple lust strikes again

Do you have people in your life who have a particular effect on you? Or perhaps our brains form various associations that are very difficult to break out of. There is a girl I see about once a year, and every time that we meet, we eat chocolate cake. Whenever she sends me email, I have a terrible craving for chocolate cake. So, I exchanged a few emails with Anthony the other day, and now I am experiencing terrible gadget lust. This time, I really want a MacBook. I don't need a MacBook. ("Nobody NEEDS a MacBook). Maybe Intern Zach's adventures in cheap hardware acquisition land had something to do with this too. But I really hope that I get over it, because there is nothing that will make me justify a purchase of a new laptop.

By the way, does anyone out there want to give me a MacBook?

Calm down people, WWDC is just around the corner. Surprises await, unless iPhone-work sucked up 100% of all the smart engineers.

I would, but I am emotionally attached to mine. It's not every computer that draws "ooohs" and "aaahs" from passersby.

But yes. Don't get one just yet... Like selfish crab said, WWDC is in a month. Wait for the computer that puts mine to shame, and costs the same.

I have a macbook . . . kinda . . . it's sitting in a storage closet somewhere in the halls of Anonymous Search Company. It's been there for over a month. When last i asked for an estimate, i was told "there are fifty plus tickets ahead of yours." But, eventually, i will have a macbook. When i do get it, would one of you nice people here explain how i can change the track pad to track properly and maybe hack in a three button mouse?

Fifty plus tickets. Over a month long wait. Be sure to tell those AITGOC users how good they have it.
