I grew up listening from my grandparents yiddish. I had many years of formal hebrew training but no yiddish. I saw this list and wanted to join in the hopes of keeping this loving language alive. I can still read hebrew but do not understand it. I have enjoyed the few paragraphs I have seen come across this list in the short time I have been signed on. I speak the words and delightfully hear my grandparents in my head. Are ther any suggestions on how I may proceed in remembering and learning Yiddish. I am currently Editor of a Science & Technology Newsletter. The phoenetic spelling of yiddish to english is almost as difficult as learning the Yiddish.
