A Short Course celebrating World Voice Day invited by the Voice Study Centre
I was invited by The Voice Study Centre (East Bergholt, England) to give a 2-hour Short Course to celebrate the 2023 World Voice Day (April 16). The audience includes some 200 master-degree students from over the world on vocal music education. The title is: The Transient Theory of Human Voice Production. Here is the abstract. It has two lectures. Each is 45 minutes presentation plus 15 minutes questions and answers.
Lecture A: How human voice is produced
Lecture B: Hints to vocal-music research
An Invited 2022 keynote speech
An invited keynote speech at the 2022 Physics and Astronomy World Forum, Valencia, Spain, November 14, entitled What The Universe Consists of: Material Points or Continuous Fields, addresses the unification of basic concepts of quantum field theory and elementary quantum mechanics. Here is the powerpoint file. Following is the main reference cited by that talk:
The Natural Quantum Mechanics, a textbook of elementary quantum mechanics based on the all-field view of quantum field theory. Chapters 1 through 7.
A keynote speech at the 2021 Physics and Astronomy World Forum, Frankfurt, December 3, entitled Wavefunction is an Observable Physical Field, addressing the problem of fundamental understanding of quantum mechanics, in view of the experimental observation and mapping of atomic and molecular wavefunctions using scanning tunneling microscopy. Here is the powerpoint file. Following is the main reference cited by that talk:
Imaging Wavefunctions, Chapter 8 of Introduction to Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, Third Edition. Oxford University Press, January 29, 2021.
Motivated by my monograph "Elements of Human Voice", the organizers of the 2022 World ENT Congress invited me to make a plenary speech. The title is "Physiology of Human Voice Production Revealed by in-vivo Experiments". Here is the abstract. Here is the powerpoint file. Here is the recorded video.
Demos for speech synthesis and voice transformation.

My half-Norwegian family emerged from an unexpected encounter. The multinational family has always been harmonious and happy.
My sufferings before immigrating to the U.S. were extensively reported on newspapers and popular journals. Here is an abridged version.
