John Huber’s teaching and research focuses on the comparative study of democratic processes.  The main emphasis of his current projects is to understand how inequality across  ethnic and religious groups affects the way that low income individuals interact with their political systems.  During 2009-10, he is on leave from Columbia and is a Visiting Scholar at the Russell Sage Foundation in New York.
