We are interested in the brain effects of age-related hearing loss. What does age-related hearing loss do? Why does it do that? We use large databases, new imaging tools, and modern biostatistical techniques to answer these questions. On the surgical front, we study advances in endoscopic ear surgery.


We have recently been awarded an R01 grant from the National Institute on Aging and are conducting a randomized controlled trial on hearing, healthing aging, and brain health.
