Research
Wolfram Research
I'm a huge advocate of optimizing with tools. Mathematica is definitely one of the softwares that I'd recommend to anyone doing quantatitive analysis. You'll save yourself lots of breath and save the earth some trees:p. You can find the links below.
- Mathematica, the scientific computational software I like most.
- Wolfram|Alpha, a powerful computational knowledge engine worth exploration.
- Stephen Wolfram, founder of Wolfram Research, creator of Mathematica and Wolfram|Alpha.
LaTeX and Scientific Writing
One should always look pass the appearance and look for the inner beauty. Though who is against a neatly presented proof? Someone once told me "You'll be mercilessly ridiculed if you type word in grad school". And trust me, that is true. A link to LaTex below:)- LaTeX Style Guide, rules and guidelines for mathematical writing and typesetting.
- MiKTeX, an implementation of LaTeX and related programs for Windows.
- LyX, a WYSIWYM document processor combining LaTeX with GUI.
- Tables Generator, an online table-generating tool.
- Jabref, an easy-to-use reference manager.
- MathJax, an open source JavaScript display engine for online mathematics.
