Full-Arch Fixed Partial Denture Splint "Roundhouse"

Figure 1: This is how the patient presented. Notice the abscess as well as the recession and poor esthetics around many of the teeth.

Figure 2: This is a maxillary "upper" occlusal view of how the patient presented. Notice how the teeth are failing. Patient would need endodontics (root canals) and periodontal (gum) therapy.

Figure 3: After initial treatment therapies (mentioned in figure 2), teeth are prepared for crowns.

Figure 4: This is a maxillary "upper" occlusal view of the prepared teeth.

Figure 5: This is a view of the metal casting prior to porcelain being placed on there. This will ultimately be cemented in the patient's mouth and function as her own teeth.

Figure 6: Another view of the metal casting. This is the inside of the casting, which will embrace the teeth along with cement.

Figure 7: The metal casting is tried in the mouth to ensure a proper fit, as well as to check on the retention and stability of the prosthesis.

Figure 8: The maxillary "upper" view of the metal - "try-in", prior to porcelain placement.

Figure 9: The final prosthesis, with porcelain baked on, but not glazed. Notice the excellent esthetics and cosmetics.

Figure 10: The maxillary "upper" view of the prosthesis, prior to final glazing of the porcelain.

Figure 11: The finished result. Notice the excellent esthetic and cosmetic result - so life-like and realistic. Wow!!!

Figure 12: The maxillary "upper" view of the finished fixed partial denture-splint "roundhouse". The red marks on the porcelain teeth indicate how the occlusion/bite was customized for the patient.
