My Ph.D. thesis work was conducted in Luquillo Experimental Forest, (LEF) in northeastern Puerto Rico. My work was facilitated by the invaluable assistance of everyone at the International Institute of Tropical Forestry, (IITF). Funding for my Thesis work was provided by U.S. Department of Agriculture through IITF.
My work in Madagascar is conducted in Ranomafana National Park. My projects are coordinated with the generous help of the Institute for the Conservation of Tropical Environments (ICTE), Madagascar Institute pour la Conservation des Environements Tropicaue (MICET), and Association Nationale Pour la Gestion des Aires Protegees (ANGAP). Funding is provided by The National Geographic Society and The National Geographic Society Conservation Trust.
My work in South Africa is in conjunction with a Ph.D. student at Owen Sitole College of Agriculture.
I am currently based at Columbia University in the city of New York. I am a postdoctoral fellow with the Frontiers of Science program.
