At Columbia, 3000-level courses are typically taken by B.S. sophomores and juniors, 4000-level courses are open to seniors, M.S., and Ph.D. students, and the 6000-level courses are graduate courses. For more details, visit the EE web pages describing the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. academic programs.
