1) Make a directory named 'Cadence' under your home. Then copy the files to this directory:

    cp /usr/tools/cds/setup/* ~/Cadence

    (Follow instructions in http://www.bioee.ee.columbia.edu/courses/cad/html/env_setup.html)
    2) Copy the files in the EE6314_Fall2009 folder to the Cadence directory.
    3) Go to Cadence directory.

When you give '$pwd' command you should see:

    /user4/fall11/[YOUR UNI]/Cadence

You can use '$icfb &' command to start Cadence5.
    4) Include EE6314_Fall2009 in the Library path:

    icfb window: Tools--> Library Manager

In the Library Manager: Edit--> Library Path

    Add the EE6314_Fall2009 path.
    5) If you can not edit the library path as mentioned in (4):

Try logging in a different machine. I tried on micro1.ilab.columbia.edu and it works.

    6) To run simulations for your assignment:

Make the appropriate cell view under a new library. (This you should know how to do!)

    7) When you run simulations, if you get some errors which indicate that some model files are not included then:

In ADE Window got to Setup --> Model Libraries. Delete the files that you might see. (By selecting the files and then press 'Delete' button, click OK and re-run simulations)

If you can not edit the schematics, try login into a different machine.
By now you should know how to get this working!

    Good Luck.
