Murry Bergtraum High School is a large comprehensive high school in lower Manhattan —under the shadow of the Brooklyn bridge and behind the police headquarters— with a focus on business careers.Close to 3000 students are enrolled in the school, which is 133% of the building's capacity, so the school runs on a split schedule. Despite the school's large size there is a strong sense of community; the hallways are always decorated, students go on school trips, and there are senior class “spirit” activities.
