MEMO
FOR SECOND PAPER FOR SIMULATION:
- The paper is to be a 1-2
paged executive summary of your position via-à-vis the
negotiation of a new economic policy for this fictitious country. Your
position must reflect the views and interests of the actor you have
been assigned from the international community, civil society or the
state.
- All papers must be
type-written and double-spaced with a 12-point font on 8.5 x 11
paper with 1 inch margins.
- While you are expected
to cite at least 2 sources from the syllabus, you do not have to
incorporate all the readings. However, papers without any references to
the readings, as endnotes, footnotes or parenthetical references, will not
receive full credit.
- You must include at
least 1 reference on the African country you are researching.
REMEMBER: The essay is not
about that country. Your references to its political economy should
illustrate your points.
- Papers with spelling
and grammatical errors will not receive full credit.
- Papers that are
received past the deadline will lose half a letter grade for each
day the paper is late.
- A hard copy is due in
my mailbox by 5 pm Friday, 9 April. By this time, you must also
post a copy of your executive summary on the bulletin board.
