SUMMARY OF RESULTS FROM HANDOUT OF PAIRED FACES
This is the data from the version of the face experiment in which the faces were presented as pairs on a handout. The entry in each cell is the number of people who fell into the category described the row and column labels.
For example, there were 22 right-handed females who -- in the first pair -- choose Tom (upper left entry of upper left table), and 73 right-handed females who chose Rick (upper left entry of upper right table) for a total of 95 right-handed females who gave any choice (upper left entry of table in the middle of the left column). Therefore, since there were 112 right-handed females at all (left entry in the little table in the left column), there must have been 17 right-handed females who did not make a check mark next to that pair. Finally, in the upper left entry of the bottom table, the proportion of right-handed females who chose Tom rather than Rick was 22/(22+73) which equals 0.23.
