Ham Pie with Cheese Crust (from Jill Williams) 6 medium carrots 1 medium onion 4 medium potatoes above all chopped 1/2 c. frozen peas, thawed 3 cups ham, cubed 2 cans mushroom soup 1 cup milk 1/2 t. salt 1/2 t. pepper simmer carrots and onions 15 minutes add potatoes, simmer 10 minutes more drain. mix all ingredients together 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes crust: 2 cups flour 1 t. salt 2/3 cup + 2TB shortening 1/2 cup sharp cheese, shredded 4-6 TB water chill slightly after mixing 13 x 9 pan. Crust on top only.
