Phase II of the process model involves the development of assessment specifications. This chapter presented three alternative formats for W-SR assessment specifications. These were FORM I, the Table of Specifications; FORM II, a more general assessment specification format; and FORM III, Item-level Specifications. The chapter discussed the pros and cons of using each form in different assessment situations, and recommended the use of FORM II for most classroom applications.
