The procedural phases and steps needed to devise, select, and validate assessment tools to measure constructs for particular purposes and populations. The iterative, four phase model described in this book/module involves developing a set of specifications, designing or selecting tools to match the specifications, validation of the tools and scores they yield, and revision of the tools to reach desired levels of accuracy/precision, in defined contexts.
