A statistical procedure for prediction of scores of a measured construct from other measures. (Simple Regression) Using current correlation coefficients between two variables, X and Y, to predict future scores on Y. (Multiple Regression) Using current correlations of several predictors, X1, X2, X3, with an outcome variable, Y, to predict future scores on Y. Regression methods are useful in predictive validity studies (Empirical validation in Phase IVB of the Process Model).
