I set out to construct a bedframe that could be disassembled to facilitate moving. In addition to disassembly, the choice of mailing tubes provided both lightweight structure and storage potential, as well as recyclable material.

The headboard and end supports provide 18" clearance below the mattress support to allow for storage of boxes and other items. The headboard also provides storage capacity for large sheet stock or raw lumber.
