Marcelo Olivares joined the faculty of the Decision, Risk and Operations Division at Columbia Business School in 2007. He teaches the core MBA course in Operations Management and a doctoral course in Statistics. His research focuses on empirical and applied work in Supply Chain Management.
Marcelo received a PhD from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a M.A. in Statistics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Chile. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked as an Instructor at the Industrial Engineering Department, University of Chile.
