RESEARCH

Broadly, I am interested in the effects of forest degradation on biodiversity, and how these changes in biodiversity in turn affect ecosystem services and processes.  My current research in the ex-Mega Rice Project area in Central Kalimantan, Borneo focuses on the regeneration of burned peat swamp forest fragments as well as composition of the remaining forest fragments. This research will contribute to current knowledge about tropical forest regeneration, and may help illuminate the future of biodiversity conservation in the peat swamp forest.
