RESEARCH

I am interested in the consequences of human impact on the natural world, and the increasing vulnerability of natural systems due to both direct and indirect anthropogenic influences. I am particularly interested in researching the connection between environmental degradation and human mobility (i.e., migration, both emigration and immigration), the impact of migration on protected areas, and modeling socio-ecological resilience in degraded environments.

I am currently the Science Program Manager at the Center for Environmental Sustainability at the Earth Institute.
