AI systems
Capacity, reliability, and the platform behind frontier model development and deployment.
I build reliable systems and strong teams at the frontier of AI.
Currently a Manager at OpenAI, focused on the infrastructure that turns ambitious research into dependable products.
I gravitate toward consequential systems: infrastructure that must be fast, reliable, and understandable—and organizations that must scale without losing their judgment.
Capacity, reliability, and the platform behind frontier model development and deployment.
Technical foundations that let customer-facing teams move quickly without borrowing reliability from the future.
Clear missions, strong ownership, candid feedback, and a culture where people do the best work of their careers.
Leading AI infrastructure work and growing the teams responsible for systems behind model development and deployment.
Led engineering teams building platform foundations for a rapidly scaling financial product, with an emphasis on reliability, execution, and durable ownership.
Representative work · Platform foundationsBuilt large-scale cloud infrastructure and translated deep systems work into dependable services for customers.
Representative work · Google CloudBuilt analytics and forecasting products, including patented approaches to live-query charting and machine-learning-backed forecasting.
Worked on storage systems and blocked I/O in the Solaris kernel.
During a summer internship, worked on the Aladdin platform, data modeling, and concurrent ingestion of live trading records.
Leadership is an engineering discipline: create clarity, put decisions with the people closest to the work, and build the feedback loops that make the whole system better.
Explain the why, the constraints, and the customer. Strong teams make better local decisions when they can see the whole system.
Give people real problems to own, define what good looks like, and stay close enough to unblock—not to take the work back.
Hire for judgment and slope. Invest in honest feedback, technical mentorship, and opportunities that expand each person's range.
The best operational systems come from calm habits: explicit tradeoffs, useful reviews, blameless learning, and steady follow-through.

Engineering is a large part of my life. It is not the center of it.
Father · Photographer · Traveler · Athlete · Shiba humanFamily is my center of gravity. Being a father keeps the meaning of leadership—patience, consistency, and showing up—wonderfully concrete.
Away from work, I reset through photography, travel, soccer, basketball, badminton, and time with our Shiba boy.
The best conversations start with a real problem and an honest point of view.
