"Storable votes: Can we solve gridlock and yet protect the minority?"
Alessandra Casella and Sebastien Turban (2012)

We blogged on the Monkey Cage blog on the possible implementation of storable votes as a potential remedy to the filibuster on nominations in the US Senate.

Other notes

Disclaimer: Well, those are notes, and the selection is random. So: not complete, not proof-read, but maybe intellectually stimulative.

"Convolution of a Normal and a Truncated Normal"
Sebastien Turban (2010)

Abstract: Some notes to find the distribution of the sum of a normal variable and a truncated normal. Might be helpful if you want the distribution of the sum of a normal variable and a truncated normal

"Some comments on Senate Reform"
Sebastien Turban (2010)

Abstract: I am thinking of trying to apply the work of Alessandra Casella on Storable Votes to Senate Reform. Early draft here. Storable votes are a voting system that protects minorities and, more generally, is supposed to provide more efficient decision making. I thought it would be interesting to look at this in the discussion of the filibuster.

"Readings for the Behavioral Reading Group"

Abstract: A list of readings in behavioral econ because it's good.
