WELCOME TO THE 1st WORKSHOP ON THE FUTURE OF MIR
Organized as a parallel session of the ISMIR conference, this meeting is solely organized by students. The goal of this workshop is to discuss what would likely be MIR research in 10, 20, or even 50 years!
We aim at presenting roughly 5 papers and some posters. Of course, even if the program committee is filled with students, everyone is welcome to submit and share their ideas.
Therefore, in your opinion, what algorithm will solve all MIR problems? will musicians be replaced by robots? how can we compose differently music with an infinitely fast internet? In brief, assume that all problems that we currently investigate are solved in 10 years, what do we do next?
