WELCOME TO THE 3rd SESSION ON THE FUTURE OF MIR

Organized as a parallel session of the ISMIR conference, this meeting is solely organized by students. The goal of this session is to discuss what would likely be MIR research in 10, 20, or even 50 years!

The 2011 Future of MIR session will be held during this year's ISMIR conference in Miami, and will be presenting an industrial panel as well as one of the conference's invited speakers. It has always been f(MIR)'s mission to improve student visibility in our community, and we now ask for suggestions for both the panelists and the invited speaker. Anyone may send suggestions, but please distribute this call to the students in you group.

Note that for a variety of reasons, f(MIR) will not ask for submitted work for ISMIR 2011. This does not imply that this will be the case in upcoming years.
