Me and Eric on Headstone Rock
I've
made three trips to Joshua Tree, one in March 2002 with my
brother, another in November 2002 with my friend Eric Aldenhoff, and
most recently in April 2005 with Philippe Gerschel.
During the first trip, the weather was less than desirable with
lots of wind and cold temperatures (it even snowed one of the
days). We still managed to get in some nice routes though and got
to know some of the major formations in the park. On the second
trip, we had better conditions and hit up a lot of the classics in
the 5.7-5.8 range. The thrid trip was a major success with great
weather and a ton of sweet routes. All of the climbs I've
completed are listed below (led
complete by me unless otherwise indicated).
