Warm equilibrium in magnetic surfaces

This equation should be consistent with Poisson’s equation:

ie. we need to solve

• Non-trivial but well posed problem, given N and T

• Generally, both n and ? will vary on a magnetic surface, unless ?2 is separable (requires symmetry)

• The requirement that space charge must be non-positive (in the case of a pure electron plasma) is built into the equation.
