Takaya Uchida

Takaya Uchida is a Ph.D. student in physical oceanography at Columbia University in the City of New York and works closely with faculties at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory. He has a strong interest in submeso/mesoscale turbulence in the ocean and how they interact with the large-scale ocean circulation and climate. His current research topic is to detect and quantify turbulent features using numerical simulation models and satellite imagery.
