Dr. Xiang Meng

Xiang Meng is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University in the City of New York. He teaches graduate Photonics courses and does research in the areas of integrated photonic devices design using novel computation and simulation techniques. He currently works in Prof. Keren Bergman's Lightwave Research Laboratory with research focus on scientific parallel computing and numerical analysis on emerging nanophotonic devices, ranging from nano-lasers, nano-sensors, to high-speed optical transceivers, and energy efficient optical interconnects for applications in high performance computing and data centers.  He previously worked in Laboratory for Photonic Devices with Prof. Richard Osgood.
