Cross-Sectional Regressions and the Empirics of Economic Growth

This paper provides a short survey of the recent empirical growth literature based on cross-sectional analysis. Unlike some other analysts, the author argues that this literature has uncovered interesting findings that should direct theoretical research in the future.
