Welcome to my page! My name is Yuxiang(Bill) Chen. I am a 2nd year MSEE student with concentrations in VLSI design and Embedded Systems at Columbia University, where I am advised by Prof. Mingoo Seok. I previously received my BSEE degree at University of Washington, Seattle. My senior VLSI capstone was advised by Prof. Visvesh Sathe in 2015. I also received a minor degree in Mathematics. Here are a list of major courses I have taken before.

My interest lies in hardware programming. My expertise includes ASIC design, VLSI Physical design and Design Verification. In addition, I have strong orientation in strategic planning, project management and team management. I also have experience in researching at Ubiquitous Computing Lab and RTLab at UW, which honed my problem-solving skills and explored my creatively.

Research Interests

My research interests include low-power and variation tolerant VLSI circuit and system design. My current research topic is to design novel circuit tree to reduce the overhead of four-phase handshake in Clock-Domain Crossing(CDC) utilizing Error Detection and Correction(EDAC) technique.
